THE CHALLENGE
Periferia is an emerging band from the Catalan scene with a bold rock sound and a clear goal: take their next big step with the release of their second album. After the success of their debut in 2023, they needed to maintain that momentum, grow on digital platforms, expand their fanbase, and double down on their identity as a band with a message that stands apart: music for those who aren’t afraid to feel different in a world moving too fast.

OUR STRATEGY
Our strategy was built on two key pillars: strategic playlisting and paid media campaigns, all revolving around their powerful storytelling: Periferia as a safe space for those who feel out of place. A comfort zone on the fringes of the system.
We focused on getting their music included in playlists alongside artists with similar audiences, as a way to organically reach potential listeners.
At the same time, we developed a visual and audiovisual narrative for paid media that reinforced their message of authenticity, emotional connection, and community.
We also carried out participatory actions, like the project La Ciudad, where fans submitted videos of their personal “safe places.” These clips were used to build an alternative version of the music video.
We boosted presave campaigns, giveaways, and other initiatives that helped build a solid fan database for more direct communication with their followers.
RESULTS
Periferia didn’t just grow in numbers, they deepened their emotional connection with their audience. By clearly defining their message and adapting it to different content formats, we amplified the message their audience needed to hear.
- Immediate increase in Spotify followers thanks to playlist exposure. Getting the band placed in the right playlists helped them find their ideal audience, with an average of 10.81 streams per listener (when the usual range is 2–4). This showed that new listeners quickly became real fans.
- Increased movement across their full catalog. New listeners weren’t just streaming the new album, they explored the band’s entire discography.
- La Ciudad project.This campaign took advantage of the growth on Spotify and social media to activate the community with a close, meaningful action, an example of co-creation with their fans.
- Radio 3 live performance. A key boost in visibility came from their live session on national radio station Radio 3, expanding their reach at the perfect moment.
