What does Melboss access when I connect my accounts?

Updated: November 1, 2026

Why connect your accounts?

Connecting your platforms lets Melboss show your statistics in Insights (followers, views, engagement and more) and, if you want, publish posts directly from the task cards of your Smart Music Plan.

Do you see my password?

No. When you connect Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok, a window from that platform opens and you log in there. The platform then asks you which permissions you grant to Melboss. Melboss never sees or stores your password for those platforms.

Spotify works differently: you only search for your artist profile and select it, without logging in to Spotify.

What do you use the permissions for?

  • To read your data: your profile and the performance data of your content, which we show you in Insights.
  • To publish, only when you choose: some task cards let you post directly to your social networks. Nothing is published unless you click to publish it, and you can also save a post as a draft.

We recommend accepting all the permissions each platform asks for, so that Insights and direct publishing work properly.

How do I remove Melboss’s access?

  • From Melboss: open the left sidebar and go to Settings > Artist Profile. Next to each connected platform there is a button to disconnect it.
  • From the platform itself: you can also remove Melboss from the connected apps or security settings of your Facebook, Google (YouTube) or TikTok account.

What happens to my data when I disconnect?

Disconnecting stops Melboss from reading new data from that platform. If you also want us to delete the data we already have, including the data obtained through the YouTube API Services, see How do I delete my account and my data? or write to privacy@melboss.com.

You can read the details in our Privacy Policy.
